Duluth, Georgia – January 21 , 2022 – Mike Cafro and his partner Jamie Kirkpatrick started the 2021 season with a huge goal, and that was to race not one but 2 cars in some of the toughest races in the world. OBOR teamed up with Black Hills UTV to show the UTV market, that we are a top tier tire company and want to compete and test our products against some of the best in the industry. Black Hills UTV tested the OBOR Predator tire and thought this would be the perfect tire to give them confidence out on the track.
The Predator that Black Hills UTV chose was the 32x10R15 weighing approximately 42 Lbs. The year started off fantastic with a win at the San Felipe 250 in the Pro Stock class. In the UTV Turbo class, Jamie finished within the top 5 racers! The year went on and Black Hills UTV kept winning first place in every Pro Stock class within the SCORE INTERNATIONAL series. This included the popular Baja 400, Baja 500 and then to finish off the year the Baja 1000.
OBOR has been thrilled with our partnership with Factory Polaris racing team Black Hills UTV. Black Hills UTV was able to accomplish winning the Overall SCORE INTERNATIONAL Pro Stock Championship in 2021. We have already had discussions on a new desert tire that will be even more driven towards the high-speed desert racing application for 2022. Keep your eyes out for more news soon.
